Beachfront Comfort
Bara Beach runs along the front of the property. The path down to it is short, with a flight of wide, shallow steps, and the stretch in front of us is wide and quiet.
Our path to the beach is a short flight of stone steps — no ladder, no technical climb. It matters more than it sounds. It is the difference between carrying a cool box, a toddler or a set of fins down to the water and deciding not to bother.
The beach in front of us is wide, and there is sand on it at every tide — morning, evening, high water or low. There are no stalls and no karaoke on our stretch, so it stays quiet. If you want a coffee, the nearest beach warung is roughly a hundred metres along the sand.
There are two big tables just outside reception. Guests use them for coffee, for a laptop, or for an early breakfast before a long drive or a morning dive. Nothing formal — just a shaded place to sit that is not your own patio.
Bara Cabana sits directly on Bara Beach — wide, soft white sand that stays sand at every tide. A short walk from your room down to the sand, for swimming, sunbathing, and watching the sun go down behind Gunung Lompobattang across the water.
Two standalone Family Bungalows with a raised, furnished sea-view terrace, five Superior Double or Twin rooms with a furnished patio, and one Superior King room. Every room has air conditioning, hot water, and an extra bed available on request.
Every stay includes breakfast when you book direct with us, served daily from 07:30 to 10:00.
Enjoy complimentary high-speed WiFi throughout the property. Whether you're working remotely, streaming your favourite shows, making video calls, or sharing your travel memories, you'll always stay connected.
Tanjung Bira is a gateway to some of South Sulawesi's best marine spots. Arrange snorkelling and diving trips to vibrant coral reefs, or set off on an island-hopping adventure to nearby islands — all easily organised from Bara Cabana.
Free parking, and plenty of it — roughly twice as many spaces as we have rooms. On request we close the gate to the street overnight.
A kitchen you are welcome to use — plenty of guests bring their own food or cook together. There is also a barbecue you can hire for the evening; tell us in advance and we can source the meat for you.
Free coffee and tea, all day, help yourself. It is a small thing and it is one of the things guests mention most often.
